Cut the pattern pieces out. Fold the material in half with the right-sides facing in, and keep the fabric as flat as possible when you lay it out. Match the fold of the fabric to each "fold" mark on your pattern pieces. When pinning the pattern pieces in place, pin straight through both layers of material.
